Final examinations for Class 10 Students in Maharashtra (Secondary School Certificate) will commence on 23rd April 2021, while the Class 12th (Higher Secondary Certificate) exams will start from April 29th, 2021. This announcement was made by Maharashtra State School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad.

Results of the examinations will be announced by July-end for class 12 students, while the same for class 10 will be announced by August-end.
Generally the exams are in the February to March period, but have been delayed due to the ongoing corona virus pandemic, the minister said. Also, the pandemic has resulted in the reduction of syllabus for the exams. While students attended classes via the online mode for much of 2020, around 38% of the students are now back in schools for regular classroom teaching.
