Home Mind Space Poems Once & For All

Once & For All

T’was a quiet night in Bethlehem.
The streets were empty,
The shops were closed,
The city got ready to sleep.

Unbeknownst to them,
On that night, in a lonely street,
Under a starry sky, watched by angels
A king was born!

He came to love the poor,
Kiss the wounded,
Heal the broken,
Bless the babies.

He dined with thieves,
Protected the hunted,
Shepherded the lost,
Befriended the outcast.

He was rich, yet became poor.
He had power, yet chose to suffer.
He was joy, yet he cried!
He had life, yet he died!

He suffered to return joy,
He was rejected to offer acceptance,
He was hated, to shower love
And was cursed, to pour blessings.

He gave up his everything,
To make us his children.
He came, ONCE & for ALL!
